How updates work
New Hansard records and changes to members' roles are brought in twice a day, at about 07:15 and 19:15 UK time. Records appear after Parliament publishes them, usually the next working day. Corrections that Parliament makes to earlier records replace the old versions.
The record here starts in May 1997. For earlier debates, use TheyWorkForYou (Commons debates back to 1918) or Historic Hansard (1803 to 2005). For today's and coming business, see Parliament's What's on calendar.
When briefings are paused
Each briefing costs money to write, so there is a daily and a monthly budget, and each visitor can request a limited number of new briefings a day. When a limit is reached, new briefings pause until it resets at midnight UTC. Searching the record, and briefings that have already been written for the same question, keep working.
