Dave Young’s contribution to prostate cancer screening

Early day motion 1109, tabled 4 November 2026 by Ian Sollom (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 1 member.

That this House recognises the ongoing campaign by St Neots resident Dave Young to encourage hundreds of local men to take a PSA test to screen for prostate cancer; celebrates his recent record-breaking event which saw 122 men being tested in one day; supports him in his determination to persuade the Government to widen routine screening for at-risk men; calls on the Government to ensure greater, independent scrutiny of the modelling undertaken when deciding to reject wider screening earlier this year, and to provide a timetable for potential reconsideration; and wishes those men diagnosed with prostate cancer as a result of Dave’s screening events the very best in their treatment journey.
