Humanitarian situation in Russian-occupied Oleshky

Early day motion 923, tabled 12 October 2026 by Manuela Perteghella (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 21 members.

That this House expresses grave concern at the humanitarian crisis in Russian-occupied Oleshky, where civilians face acute shortages of food, water and medical supplies and continuing attacks by mines and drones; condemns Russia’s obstruction of humanitarian assistance and recalls its obligations as an occupying power under international humanitarian law; calls on the Government to work urgently with Ukraine, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the UN and international partners to secure humanitarian access, a safe evacuation corridor and protection for civilians; and urges coordinated international pressure on Russia to prevent further loss of life as winter approaches.
