That this House congratulates family business, Sylvia’s Soapy Suds in Ardrossan, on winning the prestigious accolade of Best Laundry Business at the grand finale of Scotland’s Business Awards 2022; appreciates that this business, which was established almost 11 years ago, is now a cherished feature of the Ardrossan community; recognises that this award comes after a challenging period for businesses which struggled during the Covid-19 pandemic; applauds the delivery service provided by the business during Covid-19; notes how important this was to their customers; praises the hard work of owner, Dora Kane, and her mother and former owner, Sylvia who started the business, as well as staff members Elaine and Laura, in developing a successful family business which is considered to be so much more than a laundry service by the Ardrossan community; and wishes this local family business continued success in the future.
