Charges for HSBC Clubs and Community Bank Account holders

Early day motion 465, tabled 21 September 2021 by Liz Saville-Roberts (Plaid Cymru). Signed by 13 members.

That this House is concerned by HSBC’s decision to unilaterally move HSBC Clubs and Community Bank Account holders to the bank’s new Charitable Bank Account which charges £60 annually; notes that the Bank is imposing criteria which may move Clubs and Community Bank Account holders to other fee-charging accounts; is dismayed that the new Charitable Bank Account will also charge customers to deposit cash at a bank branch or Post Offices and when customers withdraw funds; and calls on the Government to encourage HSBC to reverse its decision.
