City of Glasgow College Maritime School 50th anniversary

That this House congratulates City of Glasgow College's Maritime School on its 50th Anniversary; recognises that the college's Riverside campus, completed in August 2015, has replaced its legacy institution, the Glasgow College of Nautical Studies, which was formally opened in 1969; notes that the Riverside campus represents a multi-million pound investment in tertiary education in Glasgow; welcomes the ambition and determination of Principal Paul Little to establish the most technologically advanced maritime campus in the world which includes the first 360-degree Shipping Simulation Suite in Scotland; recognises the dedication and professionalism of the City of Glasgow College staff; congratulates the 317 Merchant Navy Officers on their graduation from City of Glasgow College at its annual ceremony in Glasgow Cathedral on Thursday the 20th of June; and wishes the Maritime School and its graduates the very best for the future.
