RECOGNISING THE CONTRIBUTION OF SCOUT LEADERS DURING VOLUNTEERS' WEEK

Early day motion 2477, tabled 12 June 2019 by Stephen Gethins (Scottish National Party). Signed by 17 members.

That this House congratulates Scout leaders and assistant leaders across North East Fife and elsewhere for providing opportunities for young people from all backgrounds; recognises the enormous contribution that those volunteers make to the lives of children and young people in Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers; notes that leaders and assistant leaders give up a huge amount of their own time to plan and lead groups; commends Scout groups for the outstanding work they do to enhance the confidence, skills set and experiences of young people; and marks the success of Ceres Scouts in particular, of awarding three Chief Scout Gold Awards for the first time in 15 years.
