CONTRACTS OF EMPLOYMENT FOR DISABLED WORKERS

Early day motion 2192, tabled 18 March 2019 by Robert Halfon (Conservative). Signed by 29 members.

That this House recognises the equal role that disabled people can play in a workplace; acknowledges the value of employers having the proper infrastructure and facilities in place to support disabled employees; notes that an employer can currently retract a job offer on the basis of an individual having a disability; and urges the Government to introduce stricter legislation to prevent employers from retracting job offers on the basis of the prospective employee having a disability.
