EATING DISORDERS AWARENESS WEEK 2019

Early day motion 2100, tabled 25 February 2019 by Chris Stephens (Scottish National Party). Signed by 29 members.

That this House notes that Monday 25 February to Sunday 3 March 2019 is eating disorders awareness week; acknowledges the work done to highlight the condition; is concerned that admissions to hospitals for potentially life-threatening eating disorders has increased dramatically in the last 12 months; expresses concern that admissions to hospital for anorexia and bulimia have doubled since 2010; and commends this year's theme of Come as You Are, which sends a message to individuals at all stages of body acceptance and eating disorders recovery that their stories are valid.
