BARISTA VISAS

Early day motion 1103, tabled 21 March 2018 by Lloyd Russell-Moyle (Labour/Co-operative). Signed by 13 members.

That this House expresses concern about the implementation of barista visas; sees the introduction of such visas as a way of replacing EU free movement to the UK after the UK has left the UK; deems those visas to be a mechanism to preserve the flow of migrant labour and exploit workers through poor pay whilst maximising company profits; and urges the Government to listen to the voices of Unite and others across the trade union movement and scrap that scheme before it goes any further.

Signatures by party: Labour 7, Scottish National Party 3, Green 1, Independent 1, Labour/Co-operative 1.
