HOSPITAL CAR PARKING PROFITS

Early day motion 904, tabled 5 February 2018 by Robert Halfon (Conservative). Signed by 12 members.

That this House notes that hospitals make up to £500,000 a day in car parking charges; is disappointed to learn, as published in the Daily Mirror on 28 December 2017, that a very small proportion of that money goes to healthcare spending; further notes the involvement of for-profit contractors in hospital car parking; and therefore urges the Government to scrap car parking charges at NHS hospitals in England.
