RE-LEGALISATION OF CANNABIS IN 29 AMERICAN STATES

Early day motion 795, tabled 15 January 2018 by Paul Flynn (Labour). Signed by 5 members.

That this House welcomes the evidence that re-legalising the use of medicinal cannabis in 29 American States has been wholly beneficial in reducing drug crime levels in one state by 41 per cent, and avoiding the increased deaths from opioid use suffered in other states; and looks forward to the same benefits being enjoyed in the UK if patients will be permitted to take their medicine of choice in safe ways such as food, drink or a vapour.

Signatures by party: Labour 2, Green 1, Independent 1, Scottish National Party 1.
