CLOSURE OF RBS AND NATWEST BANK BRANCHES

Early day motion 625, tabled 1 December 2017 by Martin Whitfield (Labour). Signed by 41 members.

That this House regrets the latest round of proposed RBS and NatWest branch closures across the UK; believes that such closures are damaging to local RBS and NatWest customers, businesses, community groups and the entire local community; and further believes that the public are entitled to expect better from a bank which is still largely owned by the taxpayer, and that RBS and other high street banks should work with Government and local communities to find alternatives to local branch closures in order to maintain local banking options.
