FUNDING FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF DUNDEE TO DEVELOP MALE CONTRACEPTION

Early day motion 717, tabled 23 November 2016 by Chris Law (Scottish National Party). Signed by 19 members.

That this House congratulates the University of Dundee on receiving a $100,000 Grand Challenges Explorations grant, funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, to help develop contraceptive drugs for men; and notes that to receive this funding the team, led by professors at the university and other Grand Challenges Explorations winners, demonstrated in a two-page online application a bold idea in one of six critical global health and development topic areas and are now, if their research proves successful, in line for an additional $1 million in funding.
