KILWINNING SPORTS CLUB BIG LOTTERY FUND AWARD

That this House congratulates Kilwinning Sports Club, in Kilwinning, North Ayrshire, on being awarded £800 from the Big Lottery Fund in February 2016 as part of the Awards for All Scotland grant programme; commends the work of the Big Lottery Fund, which supports smaller organisations in securing funding for a variety of different projects and improvements, including assisted learning, enhancing local spaces, and bringing communities together; and welcomes the fact that Kilwinning Sports Club intends to use the money to buy new equipment for its football team, which will benefit children between the ages of 10 and 11, and will contribute towards its goal of encouraging as many young people to become involved in sport and community activities as possible.
