BLUE PLAQUE FOR ANEURIN BEVAN AND JENNIE LEE

Early day motion 723, tabled 18 November 2015 by Christina Rees (Labour). Signed by 25 members.

That this House notes that English Heritage has, in November 2015, erected a Blue Plaque at the former London home of Aneurin Bevan and Jennie Lee, former Cabinet Ministers and hon. Members; further notes the significant contributions made by these individuals during their political careers, such as the establishment of the NHS and the Open University; believes that the Blue Plaque is a most appropriate and long overdue commemoration of their contributions; and commends English Heritage and the proposer of this Blue Plaque, Ellie Gellard, for their efforts to secure this tribute.

Signatures by party: Labour 18, Scottish National Party 3, Conservative 1, DUP 1, Labour/Co-operative 1, Social Democratic and Labour Party 1.
