SWANSEA BAY HMRC WALES HUB

Early day motion 712, tabled 17 November 2015 by Geraint Davies (Labour/Co-operative). Signed by 11 members.

That this House regrets the closure of local HM Revenue and Customs tax offices across Wales, in particular the offices in Ty Nant, Swansea; notes the plan to replace these services with a centralised HM Revenue and Customs hub in Cardiff; further notes that Swansea is recognised as being in an area of relative deprivation by the EU and that Cardiff is not; and calls on the Government to locate the centralised HM Revenue and Customs hub within the Swansea Bay City Region instead of in Cardiff.
