TAX CREDITS MITIGATION

Early day motion 698, tabled 16 November 2015 by Danny Kinahan (UUP). Signed by 9 members.

That this House notes the disproportionate effect of the proposed tax credit cuts on Northern Ireland, which will hit 120,000 households; expresses the view that hard-working, low-paid families should not be penalised for their efforts but rewarded for their contribution to the UK economy; and calls on the Chancellor of the Exchequer to bring forward wide-ranging mitigation measures in his 2015 Autumn Statement.

Signatures by party: Labour 2, Social Democratic and Labour Party 2, UUP 2, DUP 1, Independent 1, Scottish National Party 1.
