HOSPITAL CAR PARKING FOR NURSES

Early day motion 685, tabled 10 November 2015 by Yasmin Qureshi (Labour). Signed by 5 members.

That this House is disappointed that three-fifths of England's hospitals are still charging nurses as much as £114 a month to park on-site despite Department of Health guidelines which state NHS trusts should provide free or reduced parking fees to staff working shifts; notes that parking costs take up a disproportionate amount of nurses' low pay; and therefore calls on the Government to consider scrapping hospital parking fees for nurses across England.
