ALLY MACLEOD

Early day motion 572, tabled 22 October 2015 by Corri Wilson (Scottish National Party). Signed by 25 members.

That this House congratulates the family of Ally MacLeod on the success of its campaign to have the legendary former Ayr United and Scotland manager inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame; believes this recognition of his achievements is long overdue; acknowledges his role in kindling an enthusiasm for the Scottish football team that far exceeded its previous standing; and commends his work in gaining promotion to the top flight of Scottish football for Ayr United, and ensuring the Honest Men had a place in the inaugural Premier League during his time as manager.
