BALLIEMORE CUP FINAL

Early day motion 348, tabled 20 July 2015 by Ian Blackford (Scottish National Party). Signed by 33 members.

That this House congratulates Beauly Shinty Club on winning the Balliemore Cup Final for the first time in its history on 18 July 2015 at Kingussie when it defeated Glasgow Mid-Argyll by 5-3; notes Beauly has a long and distinguished history having been established in 1892; and further notes the success in winning the Balliemore Cup comes in the year when the club is commemorating the celebrated team who achieved much success before the First World War and in particular marking the 100 years from the Battle of Festubert in 1915 that proved devastating for players from both Beauly and Skye Camanachd.
