UNION FLAG

Early day motion 27, tabled 9 May 2012 by Jim Shannon (DUP). Signed by 12 members.

That this House notes the proposal that the European flag should be flown when the Union flag is flown; recognises the sovereignty of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; and as such refutes the notion that the European flag is equal and could take pride of place alongside our national flag.

Signatures by party: DUP 7, Conservative 4, Labour 1.
