FUEL PRICES AND DUTY (No. 2)

Early day motion 2788, tabled 28 February 2012 by Tony Cunningham (Labour). Signed by 20 members.

That this House recognises that people and businesses are being hit very hard by high and rising fuel prices; notes that this is on top of tax rises and spending cuts that go too far and too fast; and urges the Chancellor in his budget, to temporarily cut VAT which would take almost three pence off the price of petrol and ease the pressure on hard pressed families and firms.

Signatures by party: Labour 16, DUP 2, Social Democratic and Labour Party 2.
