ST PATRICK'S DAY

Early day motion 2760, tabled 22 February 2012 by Jim Dobbin (Labour). Signed by 21 members.

That this House deprecates the ill-judged, inaccurate and offensive comments made by Boris Johnson with regard to a St Patrick's Day event; anticipates that the electorate will take these comments into account in the London mayoral elections of 3 May 2012; commends the London Irish newspapers Irish World and Irish Post for their opposition to the comments; and supports the forthcoming St Patrick's Day celebrations in London and throughout the country.

Signatures by party: Labour 14, Liberal Democrat 3, Social Democratic and Labour Party 3, Plaid Cymru 1.
