UNIVERSAL CHILD BENEFIT RECONSIDERATION

Early day motion 2600, tabled 16 January 2012 by David Crausby (Labour). Signed by 25 members.

That this House welcomes the Prime Minister's suggestion that the Government may modify its unfair proposals to axe child benefit where one parent earns about 44,000; recognises that two parents earning almost double the designated amount (87,500) will still be in receipt of child benefit; and urges the Government to reverse its policy and restore child benefit to all parents.
