CURRENCY ACCEPTED ON THE EUROSTAR

Early day motion 2129, tabled 5 September 2011 by David Morris (Conservative). Signed by 20 members.

That this House notes that the Eurostar has dropped its proposal to stop accepting pounds onits services; further notes that this was due to outrage expressed by British customers; believes that in a time of instability across Europe having an independent currency is beneficial to both Britain and the Eurozone; and implores Eurostar management never again toattempt to disadvantage UK citizens who value their currency.
