UK COMPANIES AND TRADE WITH NORTH AFRICA AND THE MIDDLE EAST

Early day motion 2107, tabled 19 July 2011 by Barry Sheerman (Labour). Signed by 4 members.

That this House is deeply concerned that many British companies which export goods and services to Libya and Middle Eastern countries have found themselves in serious financial difficulty following the recent political turbulence in the region; deplores the reluctance of the Government to intervene by offering financial support and assistance to those British companies damaged by the cessation of normal trading; and urges the Government to reconsider its response to this situation.
