PREMIUM RATE TELEPHONE NUMBERS

Early day motion 2035, tabled 5 July 2011 by Ian Swales (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 45 members.

That this House condemns the use of premium rate telephone numbers for job centres and other public services; notes that the use of 0845 and 0870 numbers significantly increases the cost to the caller; and urges the Government to provide an alternative landline number for those with pre-paid mobile or landline telephones.
