Early day motion 1931, tabled 15 June 2011 by Lord Mann (Labour). Signed by 24 members.

That this House notes that salaries in the top 15 banks have risen by 36 per cent. in the last year, according to a survey conducted for the Financial Times; further notes that this is seven times the rate of inflation; also notes that the average earnings increase in the UK pay was 1.8 per cent. or one third of the rate of inflation; and calls on the banks to show a genuine period of remorse, apology and restraint.
