PRACTICES AT VODAFONE

Early day motion 1689, tabled 31 March 2011 by Angus MacNeil (Scottish National Party). Signed by 16 members.

That this House condemns the sharp practices at the mobile telephone company Vodafone, which, when selling customers replacement dongles for laptops, does not cancel existing contracts and can leave the customer unaware that this must be done separately by email; and notes that while such cancellation seemingly cannot be done in store at the wish of the customer, by contrast a contract can be started with ease at a store at the wish of the customer.

Signatures by party: Labour 8, Liberal Democrat 5, Conservative 1, Scottish National Party 1, Social Democratic and Labour Party 1.
