PARLIAMENTARY MODERNISATION AND REFORM
Early day motion 1372, tabled 31 January 2011 by Caroline Lucas (Green). Signed by 42 members.
That this House takes note of recent changes in business management of the House; believes that a number of other changes deserve early examination both in terms of the modernisation of parliamentary procedure and increasing the accountability of the executive to the legislature; and requests that, given the inevitable time constraints on the Procedure Committee, the Leader of the House consults and brings forward proposals for a cross-party mechanism that would enable an early examination of these matters.
Signatures by party: Labour 22, Liberal Democrat 10, Conservative 4, DUP 2, Plaid Cymru 2, Green 1, Social Democratic and Labour Party 1.
