HOUSE OF COMMONS STAFF VOLUNTARY SEVERANCE SCHEME

Early day motion 1260, tabled 11 January 2011 by Alan Meale (Labour). Signed by 18 members.

That this House is alarmed by reports that the House of Commons Management Board, at a time when recruitment restrictions are in place, has approved plans to launch a voluntary severance scheme amongst long-term employees of the House; andbelieves such a policy is both unnecessary and one which belittles the role and importance of staff throughout the parliamentary estate.
