PRICE OF HEATING OIL

Early day motion 1177, tabled 13 December 2010 by Lord Mann (Labour). Signed by 29 members.

That this House notes that many people rely on oil to heat their homes; further notes that the average price for heating oil tends to be less than 50 pence per litre; is concerned that the average price of heating oil has shot up to 70 pence per litre and that some people are being forced to pay two pounds per litre; and calls on the Government and suppliers to take steps to reduce the cost of heating oil and ensure everyone can afford to keep their home warm.
