CHANGES TO THE LISBON TREATY

Early day motion 888, tabled 25 October 2010 by Roger Godsiff (Labour). Signed by 1 member.

That this House notes the proposals floated by Germany and France to re-open the Lisbon Treaty in order to force Member States that find themselves in a severe financial crisis, as happened in the case of Greece, to declare themselves insolvent and to forfeit their voting rights in the EU Councils; and calls on the Government to reaffirm its promise that any further changes to the Lisbon Treaty will be put to a referendum of the British people.
