EXECUTIVE BONUSES

Early day motion 728, tabled 14 September 2010 by John McDonnell (Labour). Signed by 21 members.

That this House notes with concern that a study by the business advisory firm Deloitte has revealed that executive bonuses of the FTSE 100 firms are close to pre-crisis levels, with the average bonus amounting to 100 per cent. of basic salary, at a time when many people are losing their jobs or having their wages cut and losing benefits; and therefore calls on the Government to bring forward urgently measures which will tackle this grotesque display of inequality and outrageous greed.

Signatures by party: Labour 10, Liberal Democrat 4, DUP 2, Plaid Cymru 2, Social Democratic and Labour Party 2, Scottish National Party 1.
