PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL CLUBS AND ADMINISTRATION
Early day motion 548, tabled 19 July 2010 by Roger Godsiff (Labour). Signed by 10 members.
That this House notes that many professional football clubs are in severe financial difficulties; but believes it is unfair and inequitable for the professional football authorities to insist that all football creditors of clubs which go into administration have to be paid in full before allowing clubs to participate in their leagues, while other creditors, many of whom are small businesses, are likely to receive only a small proportion of monies owed to them.
