FURNISHED HOLIDAY LETTINGS RULES

Early day motion 251, tabled 16 June 2010 by Tim Farron (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 17 members.

That this House calls on the Government to hold a full consultation with all affected parties before any revision to the furnished holiday lettings rules is introduced; notes that an analysis by the Tourism Alliance shows that the self-catering sector is a very important component of the UK tourism industry, generating over 1.8 billion for local economies; and believes that any changes to the rules must not damage the sector, successful businesses or rural and seaside communities.

Signatures by party: Liberal Democrat 7, DUP 4, Conservative 2, Labour 2, Plaid Cymru 1, Social Democratic and Labour Party 1.
