TUBE LINES

Early day motion 1066, tabled 10 March 2010 by John McDonnell (Labour). Signed by 22 members.

That this House expresses its concern that the dispute between Transport for London, Tube Lines and the independent arbiter over the funding of the Tube network upgrades threatens to force Tube Lines to follow Metronet into administration as the public private partnership imposed by the Government descends further into chaos; and therefore calls on the Government to act to prevent any further instability in the funding of the upgrade of London Underground by bringing the Tube Lines contract back into the public sector.

Signatures by party: Labour 18, Independent 1, Liberal Democrat 1, Plaid Cymru 1, Social Democratic and Labour Party 1.
