COMMERCIAL BANKS AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR TAX DEDUCTION

Early day motion 899, tabled 23 February 2010 by Andrew Pelling (Independent). Signed by 8 members.

That this House believes that passing formal responsibility for tax deductions to commercial banks could lead to increased errors in tax deductions and could leave too much power with a part of the financial sector which has more challenging concerns than taking on the role of tax collector.
