RECYCLING IN BASSETLAW

Early day motion 90, tabled 18 November 2009 by Lord Mann (Labour). Signed by 10 members.

That this House believes recycling is essential to protect the environment, to manage resources and to save space from landfill; notes that many councils run very successful recycling and composting schemes; further notes that Bassetlaw District Council has one of the lowest recycling rates in the East Midlands, the lowest in Nottinghamshire and currently has no green waste collection; and encourages local authorities to adopt green waste collections and further recycling.
