CITY BONUSES (No. 2)

Early day motion 2050, tabled 14 October 2009 by John McDonnell (Labour). Signed by 51 members.

That this House recalls that every year since 2005 a number of hon. Members have supported early day motions calling upon the Government to take action against the obscene level of City bonuses; notes with concern recent reports that this year's City Christmas bonuses are forecast to total at least £5 billion; and once again calls upon the Government to take decisive action to tackle this unacceptable level of bonuses and the return of the bonus culture in the City.

Signatures by party: Labour 34, Liberal Democrat 5, Scottish National Party 4, DUP 3, Social Democratic and Labour Party 2, Independent 1, Plaid Cymru 1, Respect 1.
