FUNDING FOR LEEDS ARENA

Early day motion 2011, tabled 13 October 2009 by Greg Mulholland (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 3 members.

That this House condemns the Government's decision to refuse the funding bid for the Leeds Arena; considers that an arena in Leeds would be of enormous economic and social benefit to the City of Leeds; regrets the fact that there is no large central concert venue in Leeds; recognises the need for a large concert hall in a city of the size and importance of Leeds; regrets political interference in this decision; and calls on the Government to reconsider the decision to refuse funding for the Leeds Arena and appreciates the hard work done by the Leeds City Council to support the scheme.

Signatures by party: Liberal Democrat 2, DUP 1.
