TIME CHANGES

Early day motion 1170, tabled 24 March 2009 by Gregory Campbell (DUP). Signed by 26 members.

That this House notes that the one hour time change in the United Kingdom occurs again on 29 March 2009; calls for a wide-ranging debate on the merits or otherwise of continuing with the practice given the twice-yearly inconvenience caused by the current practice; and looks forward to the presentation of facts concerning road safety, tiredness of drivers resulting from the immediate aftermath of each change in the time and other relevant factors.

Signatures by party: Labour 12, Liberal Democrat 5, DUP 4, Conservative 3, Independent 1, Social Democratic and Labour Party 1.
