IN CASE OF EMERGENCY NUMBERS

Early day motion 541, tabled 21 January 2009 by Lindsay Hoyle (Labour). Signed by 29 members.

That this House recognises Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service's campaign encouraging the practice of adding In Case of Emergency (ICE) to the emergency contact's name in mobile phones; notes that the majority of the population now carry a mobile phone, making it the most effective means of identifying a person's emergency contact; urges the Government to support the campaign which will not only help the patient but the emergency services, hospital staff and put families' minds at rest.
