FREEDOM OF INFORMATION

Early day motion 2549, tabled 24 November 2008 by Peter Bottomley (Conservative). Signed by 4 members.

That this House recognises that section 6 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 makes companies that are 100 per cent. owned by the Crown or by a single public authority subject to the Act; notes that a company owned by more than one public authority would be exempt as would a company 99 per cent. owned by a public authority and one per cent. owned by a private body; and asks that Government consult on the way to make all companies dominated by public authorities subject to the Act.

Signatures by party: Conservative 1, Labour 1, Liberal Democrat 1, UKIP 1.
