CO-OPERATIVE NEWS

Early day motion 2314, tabled 21 October 2008 by Bob Russell (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 49 members.

That this House regrets that Co-operative News, the official weekly newspaper of the Co-operative Movement, is no longer stocked in the Library; notes the leading role played by Co-operators in major social advances over the past 160 years; acknowledges that the Co-op, which is owned by its individual members, is Britain's leading ethical trading organisation; and calls on the House authorities to once again stock Co-operative News so that parliamentarians of all political persuasions can be better informed of the principles, ethos and good work undertaken by the Co-operative Movement.

Signatures by party: Labour 31, Liberal Democrat 12, Independent 3, Conservative 1, Plaid Cymru 1, Social Democratic and Labour Party 1.
