ADAM CROZIER'S REMUNERATION

Early day motion 1652, tabled 2 June 2008 by Nigel Evans (Conservative). Signed by 48 members.

That this House notes that Adam Crozier, Chief Executive of Royal Mail, was paid a salary of £3.04 million in 2007; recognises that during his tenure he has closed 4,600 post offices and has proposed to shut 2,500 more whilst also abandoning the second post; further notes that 15 million letters are lost every year; and condemns the award of such a salary at a time when the level of service from Royal Mail is greatly reduced and the heart of the postal network system is being ripped out.

Signatures by party: Labour 27, Liberal Democrat 8, Conservative 4, Plaid Cymru 3, Independent 2, Scottish National Party 2, DUP 1, Social Democratic and Labour Party 1.
