ROYAL MAIL AND ZONAL PRICING

Early day motion 1591, tabled 15 May 2008 by Michael Weir (Scottish National Party). Signed by 33 members.

That this House notes that Royal Mail has launched an application for judicial review of Postcomm's decision to refuse its application to introduce a system of zonal pricing for mail delivery; believes that such a system strikes at the heart of the Universal Service Obligation (USO); reiterates its support for the USO; and further calls upon Royal Mail to withdraw its application.
