COMMUNITY LIBRARY CLOSURES IN ERSKINE AND GALLOWHILL

Early day motion 1187, tabled 13 March 2008 by Jim Sheridan (Labour). Signed by 18 members.

That this House notes the concern of the people of Erskine and Gallowhill following the decision by the SNP/Liberal Democrat-led Renfrewshire Council to close Bargarran and Gallowhill community libraries without any consultation with these communities; and shares the dismay that local councillors on the ruling group are not prepared to fight to retain these valuable community resources.
