NORTHERN ROCK FOUNDATION FUNDING REDUCTIONS

Early day motion 627, tabled 7 January 2008 by Tim Farron (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 6 members.

That this House expresses concern for the cultural and creative industries in Cumbria after the Northern Rock Foundation announced a cut from £22 million to £7 million for 2008 in their allocation of funding for arts and heritage projects; notes that this could jeopardise excellent creative outlets such as the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal; and urges the Government to source extra funding for these projects.

Signatures by party: Labour 3, Liberal Democrat 3.
